Green building organisations & accreditations

This area of my website looks at various green building organisations and accreditations. There are lots of organisations both locally and globally who set sustainable and environmental standards for manufacturers, contractors, architects and interior designers.

ÉASCA, the Environmental and Sustainable Construction Association, was founded to promote the viability of sustainable construction in Ireland.

In the USA you may be familiar with LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) which was developed by the U.S. Green Building Council. The UK equivalent BREEAM (Building Research Environmental Assessment Method) can be found below.

BREEAM (Building Research Environmental Assessment Method) is the world's leading environmental assessment method for buildings. It sets the standard for best practice in sustainable design and has become the de facto feature of a building's environmental performance.
