| Testimonial I found this book to be very useful to me as an apartment dweller trying to make a usable study space in my apartment, without seeming to lose any space. The floor plans were very useful for this purpose. They, and the drawings, were very well executed. I especially liked the idea of closing off the second door to the bathroom. It has inspired me to look at blocking one door in my apartment and breaking open another in a dead space - this will give me extra wall space in two rooms! Rosemary, Ireland |
| Testimonial Nicola’s book has loads of handy tips. The space planning part was an eye opener. It really made us sit down and think who, how and when we use the rooms. Everybody should start with that. The idea about using partitions for storage was great because as a family of 5 we’re always short on storage. Doesn’t matter how big the house is. I can recommend the book to anyone who wants to make their house a home. Nathalie, Ireland |
| Testimonial I have just finished reading Nicola Jones' 'Space Planning for Homes' Ebook. This is a wonderful guide written in a concise and easy-to-follow fashion, yet not compromising on any details or the use of creativity and imagination. Nicola delivers an overview of an existing space and 3 possible redesigns, taking into account the possible needs and wants of the clients living in the design space. This impressive Ebook highlights Nicola’s in-depth knowledge of interior design and how to maximise space planning, whilst being sensitive to the needs, wants and budget of the client. In chapter 1 Nicola looks at an existing layout, a layout that might often be seen in a lot of apartments these days, and then goes on to suggest 3 possible alternative designs. The alternative designs show the experience that Nicola has when designing effective space-planning, and also her respect for budgets and the specific requirements of the client. The information contained in the Ebook is very practical and each Redesign comes with a very useful ‘Pros and Cons’ of each design as well as notes on the circulation throughout the room. Nicola gives a very clear indication of the most important factors to look out for when re-designed our space and ideal to incorporate into your own living space, regardless of the size and shape. I for one, not being an interior designer by any stretch of the imagination, have learnt many useful tips for planning a space and I would certainly be more confident in redesigned a space in my apartment or house based on the information gained from her Ebook. Not one to miss! Claire O'Donnell, Ireland |

| Testimonial Ebook Interior Design. What can I say? I simply enjoyed it. It was very straight forward, got to the point using great visually simple and comprehensive diagrams. The step by step approach, well planned out, kept up my curiosity all along the way. I learnt a lot of new and helpful information to use as an Interior designer. I learnt the importance of gathering detailed and accurate anthropometric data. The charts made up for such data are very well planned out. I am sure they are time consuming to produce but they can be looked back upon and used time after time. I have also learnt that one has so many choices to choose from in just one confined space. There are so many methods of improvement. I have always been an open plan fan but I can now see the major disadvantages. At the same time an open plan can exist with the help of a few half height partitions to allow area’s to be sectioned off without visually and physically sectioning them off all together. I really learnt a great deal about Space planning and about the importance of passage movement. I learnt that an Interior designer does not have to come up with a perfect end result especially working in such a small space but she/he has to make the best of a bad situation after weighing up all the needs of the inhabitants.
